Therapy for Pelvic Pain in Men

Our men’s health rehabilitation team specializes in caring for men who have pelvic pain. Nearly every movement and position depends on the pelvis. It plays a role in sexual function, supports and protects internal organs, and controls bladder and bowel functions. Proper activity and balance between all muscles, joints and tissues of the pelvis are essential for normal pain-free function.

Men experience pelvic pain in many ways. Intercourse may be painful or impossible. Sitting, walking, or wearing jeans or underwear may be painful. You may feel pelvic pain in the abdomen, lower back, hips or genitalia.

We treat:

  • Urge and stress urinary and fecal incontinence
  • Pelvic pain, includinganorectal pain, levator ani syndrome and pudendal nerve entrapment
  • Constipation
  • Interstitial cystitis (painful bladder syndrome)
  • Coccydynia
